Amund Sjølie Sveen (b. 1973) is an artist, musician, writer, researcher and marching-band drummer born and raised in Vadsø in Arctic Norway. His work has for many years focused on the narratives and power struggles of the north, taking the Arctic as a starting point for investigating both local and international political questions in our globalized world of marked economy. He is the artistic director of NORDTING - The Northern Assembly, and a regular participant in public debates. He is also currently associated with the Arctic University in Tromsø (UiT) as an artistic researcher.
